Following in my father’s footsteps, I joined the family business in 1996 and became a Partner in 2001. Initially I focused entirely in the Corporate Pension Planning and Employee Benefits market which has always been a cornerstone of our business.
As time has passed, my focus has developed into dealing with the personal financial planning needs of business owners, Directors and now other personal clients too. I now split my time between both corporate advice and individual financial planning.
I take an active role in managing the business which gives me a personal insight into the challenges faced by company Directors when dealing with their own business affairs.
I feel a great weight of personal responsibility when dealing with my clients' finances, and receive immense personal satisfaction from seeing the results of their financial plans coming to fruition.
For over 45 years, I have been actively advising and providing financial planning and related wealth management advice to personal and corporate clients. The clients I now deal with are predominantly the ones that I have been advising for many years and in a lot of cases, for decades.
As a Chartered Financial Planner, I am committed to maintaining the highest professional standards. I ensure that my industry knowledge remains up to date and place a strong emphasis on my personal training and development. As a representative of St. James’s Place Wealth Management, my on-going training and advice to clients is now complemented and indeed enhanced by their industry renowned investment and technical expertise.
I have always focused on developing long-standing relationships with my clients and their businesses. This ensures that I offer a personal and highly valued service with assistance, where appropriate, from my colleagues in their specialist areas. Our clients' children are now being introduced to the business and more recently their grandchildren as well, as our original clients themselves age gracefully - as of course do I.
David joined the practice in 2015 and has quickly become a valuable asset to the team. His drive and determination have seen him successfully expand his own client network whilst also servicing some of the practice’s long-standing clients. David is passionate about maintaining the values and level of service we expect from an adviser at Boag England.
